- ATChang - that would be me. The blog writer and owner. A crafter since I could hold a needle and thread, and a knitter since 1999.
B
- Barf - The tangle of yarn that pops out of the middle of pre-wound skeins of yarn with the center tail hidden. No known way of preventing this, but can be remedied by winding around the outside of skein, then knitting like crazy to use it up.
- BIL - Brother-in-law, of which I have one.
- Biochemistry - the field Partner does his PhD in. The study of the chemical reactions that occur in living organisms...or something like that. To be completely honest I don't really get what Partner does.

- Ecology - the field ATChang does her PhD in. The study of the patterns of distribution of living organisms across a landscape, including why they occur where they do, how they occur, and their interactions with other living organisms and physical conditions
- Evening - time of day designated for loading an online movie or tv show and knitting while the crud from the day fades away

- Felt - matted animal fiber and/or knitted/crocheted project that has a relatively smooth surface. Please see "Felting" for more information.
- Felting - the process of matting fiber or yarn to produce a smooth surface for a project. Often done unintentionally by hand-knitted gift receivers who don't bother to read care instructions, by those inexperienced with real animal fibers, or by those who don't pay that much attention when throwing loads of clothes in the washer. Achieved by agitating (read rubbing) animal fibers, with the exception of silk, together in hot soapy water, then rinsing in cold water. Process is the result of small scales on the fiber locking with each other during hot agitation. Usually causes shrinking of the project. And yes, projects are usually angry - hence agitation.

- Partner - my significant other since May 2004. Since we've been together for so long boyfriend seems too trivial a title, but he's not my husband yet and we aren't officially engaged. So partner seems like the most appropriate term.
